Baby it's cold outside!

My oh my it is cold outside! Taking a shower was not fun today. I'm sitting in my apartment right now recording some songs, about to get ready so my boyf and I can go to Austin for shopping and church. I'll be sure to bundle!!!!

Some good things about cold weather are: warm drinks, blankets, a boy to snuggle with, fires, and reading and watching movies.

Prayers Answered.

If I ever doubted the reality of God then it was all reconfirmed in the last few days. I'm coming to terms with my imperfections and want to shout them all from the rooftops so others going through the same hurt can heal along with me. All people, Christian or not, are struggling with something... when did the church close their arms to those suffering from sins they are so eager to judge publicly??? No! I want everyone to know that I know I'm far from perfect and if anyone ever wants to have a love fest with confession and Jesus then let me know! Confession is the first step to healing.

Sunday Yello and Lipstick too! Woo!

I don't usually wear lipstick but sometimes I just gotta :)

An Education Inspiration!

An Education!

Carey Mulligan is just plain adorable. Her talent inspires me :) There are certain films I see that remind me why I want to be an actress and An Education is one of those films.
P.S. I got a pink nightgown after seeing it :)

Saturday!

It is an absolutely beautiful Saturday morning! I slept in until 12:30 after staying up until five watching the Jerk and talking with my dear friends Reagan and Nathanael. Bernadette Peters is so cute in that movie and Steve Martin is one of my heroes.
Well I awoke this morning and couldn't wait to get outside. I went for a little run and plan on staying gross and sweaty all day because I see lots of walks and tennis playing in my future... with mama! and hopefully Jo!
Right now I'm drinking good coffee and eating toast with raw organic almond butter! yummmmy! Speaking of yummy, I have to make a confession. I've always been opposed to starbucks for their yucky tasting coffee and high prices but Mrs. Lindley gave me a gift card to the chain so I decided to get a latte (you can barely taste the coffee so it was great!) and a cupcake. May I just say, "Ohhhh my gaaarsh!" The red velvet are great but my favorite is the vanilla bean. I still have 3 dollars left on the card and I'm hoping to go today to get me some goodness! I love cupcakes :)
Well I have some cleaning to do before I head to New Braunfels!
Oh and a new yoga studio opened right next door to my apartment. I may start doing yoga as long as I can work up a sweat running before :)

Apartment!

I'm still getting settled back into my cozy little apartment and thought I would share a few pictures. Now these pics are a year old, from when I first moved in and I've rearranged things a bit. My favorite feature are the large windows!

I miss the holiday but I have eisley.

School has begun and I already miss home. Maybe once I finally get my cute little apartment in a decent order I'll begin to truly settle back in to life in San Marco. It is wonderful seeing everyone again. I want to learn much but not lose my creative spree that occurred over the break. Eisley always gets me going :)

The Lovely Bones and Cinnamon Rolls.

To quote one of my songs, "Windows open I can feel the breeze brush my heart. It can see with eyes, the light in the dark. Oh how it sees past all my skin. Past the cage of hollow bones it's trapped within.... I awake with the sun oh as the day before. Beating my fists till I can't beat anymore. Oh how I see past this so called livin. Past the cage of hollow hopes I'm trapped within."

Matty and I saw the Lovely Bones last night and it really was lovely. It was such a beautiful reminder that whether you live until you are 14 or 104, life is like a flash of a camera. We are here one moment and gone another with only a snapshot of actions and memories left behind.

There are a few things I'm certain of in this life:
1. Love is real. I believe God is love and though I don't understand .00001 % of His greatness, I've still been given the moments of knowing THERE IS MORE.
2. There is evil in this world and sometimes bad things happen. This is hard to battle with but through great tragedy comes great compassion.
3. I have great love for people in my life.
4. We all have a talent.
5. Humans are in more control then they would like to believe sometimes.
6. The earth is a beautiful place.
7. We need each other... not to judge but to love. Galations 6!
8. Light trumps the dark. Woo!
9. There are some really amazing and delectable food concoctions that have been formed and I thank those who have made it possible for me to be enjoying coffee and a cinnamon roll right now.
10. Imagination means more than we know.

Oh and 11. Matthew Lindley will always be at least a little late :) I'm waiting on him right now to go to the zoo!
